In Memoriam ~
Sandy was born in Weston, Ontario. She moved to B.C. in 1980 following the advice of Horice Greeley "Go west young lady".
Predeceased by: Father-Ted Whitlock, Mother-Jean (Garratt) Whitlock, Sister-Judy Whitlock, Brother-Tom Whitlock and Grandson-Will Spensley.
Her memories are left with: Husband Brian, Sons Randy (Teresa) & Mark (Lenore), Grandsons Nathan, Max (Rakaya) & Colin (Moorea) and Great Granddaughters Lily & Nico. Sisters Lynn (Grant), Deb (Janet), Pam, Laurie (Paul), Paula and many nieces and nephews.
Sandy spent most her working life in the medical field with the last 25 years at Family Practice Clinic in Nanaimo. There she developed many wonderful friendships with the patients, Nurses & Doctors. Sandy loved people and their personnel stories. She could remember thousands of patients and their phone voices.
Sandy adored children and delighted in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandy & Brian loved to curl and spent many years at NCC on the ice where they made many long-lasting friendships.
Sandy's other passions were the Blue Jays and gardening. She created beautiful gardens at their home in Lantzville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Nanaimo Curling Centre on Sunday, July 17th from 1-3pm.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C.
