Ruth Lois Campbell

With heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma (GG), Aunt and Friend Ruth on Aug 16, 2019. However we are thankful that we knew this amazing woman and that she was such a big part of our lives for so long.
Ruth grew up in Renown Saskatchewan with her mom and dad, Lois and John Davis and three sisters, Evelyn, Joan and Kay. Ruth had a long career as a Registered Nurse, and nursed at hospitals in Regina, Victoria, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Nanaimo. While in Regina she met and married Don Campbell (who predeceased Ruth). Together they had five children Patrick, Shelley, Deborah, Bruce and Rob. They lost Shelley at just a few months old. Ruth loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her GG.
A Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held at 11 am Saturday, September 14 at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo.
We want to thank the wonderful home support workers who cared for Ruth and allowed her to stay in her home on Applewood Cres and the caring staff at Dover House in Nanaimo.
In lieu of flowers or donations, we invite everyone to get together with family and friends to enjoy their company and the spirit of love and friendship that Ruth cherished and gave so willingly to others.
