After a brief illness, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. She was surrounded by family. She leaves behind a great testimony of perseverance, love and devotion to her family and special friends. She will be missed.

Married to her Best Friend Ivan originally of Croatia of more than 62 1/2 years - they are now dancing together again. They met at a 1954/1955 new Years Eve Dance in Calgary, Alberta and remained together until Ivan's passing February 2017.

Survived by children - Michaela Jordanov (Calgary), Nada Jordanov (Nanaimo), Joan Jordanov (Nanaimo), Gregory (Michelle) Jordanov (Dawson Creek) and Jeffory Jordanov (Nanaimo). Born in Berlin, Germany, she emigrated to Canada in 1954 with her parents and brother. She began nursing school before the decision to move to Canada with plans to continue her schooling here. Then, only a few months after settling in Calgary she met her sweetheart Ivan and from there they built a big family together.

She spent most of her working years in retail many of those with Woodward's and Eaton's in Men's Wear Sales. July 1979, they moved to Nanaimo to retire. From then, she pursued her favorite hobby - gardening. And what an incredible gardener she was. Another joy she loved, was music and singing. One of the original members of The Nanaimo German Choir and Club she enjoyed singing and traveling with the choir for many years. A social butterfly, she always had a smile when meeting someone new or seeing someone she already knew. Family was her priority and their home was ALWAYS open and welcome to all.
