It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy McLeod on February 19 in Nanaimo British Columbia.
Born in Camrose, Alberta, Roy's family later moved to the Lower Mainland\ in the early 1960s. In 1984, he and his family settled in Nanaimo, where he worked as a truck driver. Roy was a dedicated member of his community, spending 25 years with the Chase River Volunteer Fire Department and actively participating in the Smokin' Oldies car club, where he shared his love of classic cars.
Roy leaves behind his loving wife,Gail; daughter, Karen; son, lan; daughter-in-law, Kirsten; and cherished grandson, George. He is also survived by his brothers, Alan and Keith, and his sister, Joan.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fulton and the doctors and nurses at Nanaimo Regional Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Roy.
As per his wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu
of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Roy's memory would be greatly. appreciated.
