Roy passed away peacefully at Wexford Creek in Nanaimo BC with his wife Carole by his side.
He was born in Royal Oak Michigan, grew up in New Brunswick and moved to Vancouver island in 1966.
Survived by his wife Carole, three children son Reg Miller (Janet), daughters Nancy Miller (Lorne Smith), and Suzanne Miller. Grandchildren Ryan Miller, Darren Miller, Lauren Smith, Camille Smith (Josh McCartie) Cassandra Tetaert (James). Step children Cole Peace (Cathy), Boyd Peace and Tyler Peace (Sue) and 10 step grandchildren and great grandchildren Aria and Jacob.
Roy loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, traveling to warm climates in the winter months and growing prize tomatoes in his garden. He was always very fond of dogs, bird watching, chocolate cake, fiddleheads and riding his bike.
The family would like to thank Wexford Creek staff for all their kindness and compassion shown to Dad in his last few months.
He will be laid to rest in Cedar Valley Memorial gardens in a private ceremony.
