Robert Warren

On April 28, 2016 Robert Warren Wilson, aged 89, passed away at Kiwanis Lodge in Nanaimo B.C. Bob was born in Vancouver B.C. on October 12, 1926.

Bob is pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years, Freda Jessie Wilson. A happier couple you wouldn’t meet.

Bob is survived by his daughter Patricia McLaughlin (Ian), sons Tom Wilson (Juliana) and Bill Wilson (Heather), 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Bob worked in the lumber industry for 47 years and he was well known and respected throughout his career. Bob and Freda loved family. Family dinners, picnics and gatherings were numerous and memorable. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. In his later years he loved to hike and he was well known in various hiking groups. He helped raise over $10,000 by collecting discarded cans. The money used for eye surgery in developing countries.

Bob will be missed by many. A memorial service for Bob will take place Saturday, May 28th at 2 pm at First Memorial, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo B.C.
