'Mom' and Dad':

Patricia Mary died July 2001 after a lengthy illness. Robert Tement now, after recently being in failing health.

Dad emigrated from Scotland with his family at age 9, rooting in Vancouver. Age 17, too young to enlist in the R.A.F., he wrote the King of England and was granted the dubious privilege of spending the entire War as a gunner and radio operator in North Ireland, Africa and the Middle East. Post-war his radio operator experience led him to a career in the fledgling Canadian air traffic control service. Dad's final role with Transport Canada was as Chief Controller of the Vancouver control tower.

His was a long life. We only wish it could have contained more 'happy'!

In addition to Mom, Dad was predeceased by his parents, brother Eddie, and sister Agnes. Survived by son Jeff, daughter Margo, and grandchildren Brendt, Danica, Andrea and Tamara.

Bob was smart, feisty, selfless, and is sorely missed.

At Dad's request there will be no celebratory 'antics'.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road in Nanaimo.
