LEESON, ROBERT STANLEY THOMAS
DECEMBER 8, 1948 ~ FEBRUARY 25, 2011
With love and sadness we announce the passing of Bob Leeson. Bob was a beloved husband and soul mate of Karen, much loved and adored father of Julie (Jake) and Graham, devoted son of Doris Coleman and step-son of Bruce Coleman, and treasured brother of Carole Seggie. He will be deeply missed by many family members and friends.
Bob was born and raised in Cedar-by-the-Sea. He attended the University of Victoria and earned his degree in Geography and History. His 35 year teaching career began in Mackenzie, BC. He returned to Nanaimo and taught in SD68 for 30 years. Bob really loved teaching. With a passion for the outdoors, Bob spent as much time as he could skiing, hiking and walking his dog Darby. He was always happy and could be counted upon to help anyone. Bob was truly a wonderful person who made the world a better place.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 4235 Departure Bay Rd, Nanaimo.
