July 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert "Rob" Hamilton on July 27, 2018 at the age of 70 years. He worked all of his life in the logging industry, working at Doman's Nanoose Forest Products for 32 years until the mill closed and most recently for ALJAQ Contracting in Ladysmith BC until a month before his passing. He was a hard worker and loved what he did. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his buddies Chuck and Gordie Addison.

He was a loving family man to his wife Linda of 32 years, his daughters Karina (Clint) Meadows and Tamara Bonner (Troy Riddell), grandchildren Patrick Theriault, Tyler Bonner (his shadow) (Samantha), Kieran Wanner, Ethan and Evan Meadows, brother Donald Hamilton, sister Diana (Ric) Ketch, his "adopted" family Tim and Lisa McKay and his "adopted" grandson Tanner Haigh.

Special thanks from the bottom of our hears to Alben Stromquist of ALJAQ and crew for always being there for our family. Thank you to Dr. Calvin for his excellent care and putting up with Rob's sense of humor, the staff at NRGH Pallative Care (especially Meredith), and Kevin at Evergreen Cremation for your understanding and way of making things easier in this difficult time.

At Rob's request, there will be no service. Happy Hunting Ba.
