Robert John Grison
July 21, 1959 ~ December 12, 2016
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother Rob, also know affectionately as “PEPSI”. Rob is survived by his father Jean in Quebec, mother Olene in Alberta, brother Paul in Manitoba, brothers Joe and André, and sisters Janet and Laura, all in BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rob also left behind many, many good friends... all of us still mourning his sudden passing.
Rob enjoyed spoiling his dog Canuck with long walks at Collier Dam Park and Pipers Lagoon. He also loved motorcycles and spending time riding with all his buddies and was always happy to help a friend with a project.
Rob was never one for indifference... he was full of passion and lived his life large. He was extremely creative and multi-talented. He was also a perfectionist, a quality which shone through his work on classic autobody restorations. Rob truly was a diamond in the rough. Anybody who really knew him recognized and loved that great big heart of gold. Behind the tough guy facade was a very sensitive, caring and generous soul.
In lieu of a service, the family held an intimate Celebration of Life on Jan. 6th in Nanaimo. Another celebration took place a week later.. Thank you Ron for hosting a farewell party for Rob and many thanks to all who attended, extending us your sympathies and sharing your amazing stories with love and respect.
