Bob passed away in the early hours of Dec. 19th with granddaughter Ashley and daughter-in-law Susan by his side at his residence in Wexford Creek. Bob was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Martha, brother Reginald, sister Matilda, and son Alfie. Bob is survived by; daughter Ina (Dan), son Lorne (Tammy), step children Doug & Sue, daughter-in-law Susan, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Bob was born in Vancouver but spent all his life in Nanaimo. He drove truck for West Coast Freight then started his own business; RW Trucking. He started with a gravel truck and turned to towing mobile homes in the late 60's and continued with that until his retirement. Many of his jobs were to logging camps and remote areas, resulting in some good stories.
Bob will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends. He was a hardworking man and one of his favorite expressions was "Bullshit".
No funeral by request. Bob's ashes will be buried in Nanaimo Cemetery at a later date.
