Robert (Bob) Archibald passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the age of 93.
He is survived by Betty, his loving wife of 48 years, daughters Beverley (Gary), Gay (Dave), Barbara and son Dean, 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary in 1971 and his daughter, Lynn in 2019.
Bob was born in Rouleau Saskatchewan and moved with his family to BC in his late teens. He had a 35 year career working for the Provincial Government, beginning as a clerk and ending as a Government Agent. He held these positions in several towns and cities around BC and retired as Government Agent from the office in Nanaimo in 1981.
He enjoyed a long and healthy retirement, travelling, golfing and visiting family. He had a strong faith in the Lord and we have no doubt that he is now with his Saviour. Bob was a remarkable man, faithful to family and friends and we will all miss him greatly.
A small private family celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 27 at Sands Funeral Chapel, Nanaimo and his cremains were interred at Cedar Memorial Garden in the Forest Walk.
