With heavy hearts, the family of Rina Dolan announce her passing. Our dear Nonna died peacefully at her home on March 31, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana and Linda (Leonard); grandchildren: Sean(Honey), Leah, Neil (Kix) and Danielle; and very special great grandchildren: Brian, Faith, and Dylan. Rina is predeceased by her loving Italian immigrant parents Bert and Kitty Cosma, brother Elvio, husband Ted, as well as many extended family.
Born in Vancouver on April 30th, 1926, Rina was raised in Deep Bay and lived through the Great Depression and World War II. She married returning army soldier Ted Dolan in 1947 and settled in Nanaimo becoming a homemaker, and then his active business partner for many years.
Rina was cherished, not only by family, but by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on April 30th (her 99th birthday!) at Saint Peter's Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Bowen Road Cemetery. An invitation to her celebration of life is extended to all who knew her.
