Husband, Richard Laurence
March 15, 1943 - September 1, 2009
Richard passed away quietly, surrounded by friends and loved ones, after a short battle with cancer. Richard will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley; his two daughters: Cheryl and Kelly; his sisters: Vernelle and Illona (Herb); his brother, Michael (Adrienne); his stepbrothers: Colin, Paul and Evan; his many nieces, nephews and cousins, many friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his devoted Bear ~ Dog with whom he now hunts.
Richard will be fondly remembered for his kind and loving heart, love of family, quirky sense of humour, his dedication to friends, neighbors and the community at large.
He was the owner/operator of Rural Repairs and Welding and well known for his honesty and excellent work ethic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Richard’s name to the North Oysters & Avea Historical, 13467 Cedar Rd., Ladysmith, BC V9G 1H6
A celebration of Richard’s life will be announced at a later date.
