Although the years have slipped by fast

they’ve left us memories, forever last

They make us smile and, give us pleasure

to think of times, a real treasure

He might be gone but, not far away

his ship has sailed to a brighter day

We loved him dearly, we always will

a Dad and Husband, he fit the bill

I sleep no more, with the man I love

for He’s in Heaven far above

But lying beside me and, in his care

his spirit lingers for us to share

Until the day when we’re together

a bond so tight no one can sever
