Amor DeCosmos passed away at the Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan, BC due to heart failure after undergoing surgery for a hernia.
He will be greatly missed by his sons: Kelly McKenzie (Kathy), Michael McKenzie, Sean McKenzie, Colin McKenzie, Kevin McKenzie (Rebecca), Graham McKenzie, Aaron McKenzie and four grandchildren. He is also survived by and will be dearly missed by sister Juanita Unwin (Clint); niece Bonny Briggs (Tom); nephews: Brian Unwin (Annette), Garth Unwin (Diane Schmidt); great-nieces: Coryn Pawliw, and Caryn Briggs; great-nephew Christopher Briggs, and great- great nephew Asher Briggs.
In the 70's, Amor was an accredited poet, and publisher of a newspaper in Nelson, BC.
He was a deep thinker, spiritual seeker, optimistic, cheerful and fun loving.
