Born 12 November 1945 in Eshowe, Zululand, South Africa. Passed away so suddenly on 14 August 2017 in Nanaimo BC Canada
A funeral mass was held on August 18th in Nanaimo.
Predeceased by parents and sister, he is survived by brother Neville and families in South Africa and brothers-in-law David and Barry and Janet in UK
Also left to mourn are his wife Dawn, sons Rene, Pierre and Shelly, Marc and Sarah and Alan and Julie, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He loved being in his workshop, fishing and spending time with his family. Rene was very involved with his church until ill health forced him to slow down.
His memory will stay in our hearts in all that we do.
We have an angel in heaven - we call him Dad.
