Peacefully passed away on Tuesday January 21st, in his 86th year. Though he will be dearly missed, he is no longer in pain, and he is now reunited with his beloved wife Yvonne, and his loyal companion Tica. Loving father of Blair Carson (Miriam) and Sheila Barnes (Wayne). Proud grandpa of Jacob, Kendall, Carson and Yvonne. Dear brother of Molly O'Connor and loving uncle of Todd, Megan, Aaron and Kristen.
Ray was born in Toronto, but grew up in cottage country, where he developed a love of the outdoors, fishing, drawing, photography and nature. As a young man he set out to find his way in the world, prospecting in the bush. He eventually went on to make a name for himself in the mining community establishing himself in Canada, the United States and Central America. Through all his ventures he always tried to find a way to give back to the people. Ray was a successful businessman, and humanitarian. Our dad wasn't a man of many words, but the expression of his love coursed through his actions and he will be deeply missed.
As per Ray's wishes there will be no funeral service. Should there be a Celebration of Life at a later date, the family will notify close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
