Randy passed away peacefully on the Palliative Care Unit of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 52. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
He was predeceased by his father Don White Jr, his grandparents Don and Dora White of Nanaimo and grandparents Ronald and June Davies of New Westminster, BC. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rhona, daughters Miranda and Breanna, mother Joanne White, brothers Ronald (Shelly) and Rod (Roxan), numerous nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles as well as a large extended family.
Born in Nanaimo, Randy did most of his schooling here including welding, electrical and millwright. Randy was working at Coastland Wood Industry at the time he was diagnosed with cancer.
The love of his life was Rhona. They met as high school sweethearts, married and had 34 loving years together before his passing. The stars in his eyes were for his daughters Miranda and Breanna. He was a wonderful father teaching them to fish, camp and all things he loved to do, but most of all he taught them how to live life to fullest.
Randy loved the outdoors and especially being on a boat on the ocean, and was also a member of the Nanaimo Yacht Club. Randy always took great pride in all he accomplished. Travel was another of Randy's favorite things and his trip to Puerta Vallarta this year with 22 family members was a highlight in his life.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BC Cancer Foundation/Ride to Conquer Cancer in his name.
