Raimundo Vizeu Paiva of Nanaimo, BC passed away suddenly on April 16, 2020 at the age of 83. He was born in Macau on March 13, 1937. He is survived by his wife, Madalena Paiva, of 62 years, his five children, Augusto (Judith), Fatima (Donnie), Paulo (Cindy), Doris (Jack), Batricia (Michel); eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Raimundo was a resident of Nanaimo for 46 years. He was a member of the Nanaimo Chinese Cultural Society and a restauranteur. He enjoyed playing soccer, watching sports (WWF the only real sport according to him), horse racing, trying his luck at the slots, and most recently playing cards, ping pong and dance classes at the Seniors Centre.
