Phyllis, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. As usual, she was in full control of her life and chose to use MAiD. She was so happy and full of joy for the full week leading up to her leaving this planet.
In attendance when she departed was her son's family Randy, Chris and Tianna Grey, along with her cherished extended family of Anne, Matt, Natasha Hope and Clinton Smith.
She lived the last 23 years in Courtenay. Prior to this she raised her son in Lantzville while teaching elementary school. She often told stories of her students she taught while at Cilaire school in Departure Bay.
In choosing her departure time, she will not be having a memorial service, as her family and many friends had the opportunity to wish her well and god speed to her next dimension.
