It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Peter Barz. Peter passed away at home on November 11, 2017.
He is survived by his parents Eileen Wood and Ronald Barz, brother Steven Barz, wife, Kristine Barz, sons Cody and Tyler Barz and parents-in-law Ann Klever and Steve Gaffney.
Peter was born on March 29, 1971 in Lahr, West Germany. He graduated from Nanaimo Secondary School in 1989. In 2002 Peter married the love of his life, Kristine Klever, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They got married here in Nanaimo but made their home in Cedar Rapids.
Peter enjoyed camping, the Montreal Canadians, Tony Stewart racing and making people laugh. His biggest love was his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed. Before moving to Cedar Rapids, Peter had worked at Home Depot here in Nanaimo.
We will always love you, Peter. Rest in peace. You will be forever in our hearts.
