Paula Robinson

Paula passed away peacefully in the loving presence of family on September 11, 2016 at the Ridgewood Lodge Care Home in Princeton, BC.

Paula, daughter of Clarice and Alf Robinson,  was born in Hull, England on October 1944 and emigrated to Canada in the late 60’s.  Paula loved fishing and was the founder of the “Golden Rods and Reels” fishing clubs for senior citizens. Paula later loved doll making and spent countless hours and patience hand sewing beautiful clothing for them. She was a beautiful, caring lady with abundant energy and enthusiasm, an open heart, contagious laugh and generous spirit. She will be remembered forever in the hearts of those she touched here on earth. 

Mum and (mum-in-law) to Debbie (Ron), Andy (Elaine), Mandy (Jaimie), Carolyne (Steve), and Catherine (David), and foster Mum to Billy (Wayne) and Lenny (passed).

Grandma to Aaron, Travis, Shaundra, Rheanne, Ricky, Craig, Stacey, Kirsty, Liam and Ethan and honorary grandma to Michael.

Great grandma (Gigi) to Allie, Keelyn, Nico, Layla, Chase, Isla, Peyton and Destin. 

Survived by siblings Sandie ( and Steve), Bobby (and Pat) in the U.K. and predeceased by Nora, Tommy, Mavis, Clarice, Jessie, Alfie, Kath, Pat and Michael.

Remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and family in the U.K.,  as well as many friends. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.

A Celebration of Paula’s life will take place on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at the Bowen Park Clubhouse in Nanaimo, BC.
