Paul William Bocskay

May 3, 1924 - October 10, 2017

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D.

Paul was predeceased by his parents Paul and Helen Bocskay, sisters Helen Wylie and Joyce Anthony, nephew Paul Wylie and his beloved wife Gloria.

He is survived by his brother Emil and sisters Dorothy and Delores; stepchildren Kim, Kurt, Karen, Kelly, and families and several generations of nieces and nephews.

Paul was born in Leask, Saskatchewan and lived and worked most of his life on the family farm. On retirement he and his wife Gloria built a home on Iroquois Lake. They enjoyed travelling.

After his wife's passing in 2004, Paul moved to Nanaimo to be closer to some of his remaining family.

Thank you to sister Delores for taking Paul into her home and looking after him for the last 5 years. Paul spent many hours on woodworking projects of which we all treasure. He stayed active in mind and body to the very end, although flare ups from C.O.P.D. occasionally slowed him down.

He enjoyed a good conversation on world affairs. He had a kind, soft spoken manner and was loved by everyone.

Always remembered and much loved.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring before Paul's final trip to Saskatchewan.
