Patricia Law

October 6, 2015

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Patricia. She was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1996.

She is survived by her son David (Diane), and daughters June (Lloyd) Poll and Pat (Carl)Hallson; grandchildren Darren, Eric, Melissa, Scott, Holly and Heather as well as great-grandchildren Cameron and Madeline.

Mom was born in London, England where she met and married Harold, a Canadian soldier, in 1943. She relocated to Canada in 1946 and lived in Moose Jaw, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Nanaimo and spent many happy winters in Florida.

While in Nanaimo, Mom attended Brechin and St. Andrew’s church. She was a valued volunteer in the community. She had been a Brechin pie baker and worked as a Sendial volunteer for over twenty years. She knitted for the hospital nursery and supported the SPCA. She had also been a long time member of the Widows’ Support Group.

Mom, known as Nanny to her grandchildren, was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and always had a little dog by her side.

Special thanks to Dr. Houghton and the NRGH staff for their care and support.

No service by request.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the SPCA.

They walk beside us everyday

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Still loved, still missed and very dear."
