Oscar Allan Taylor

June 4, 1935 – July 29, 2016

Oscar passed away on July 29 at NRGH. A beloved husband, father & grandfather, born to Mary and John Carlson (now deceased) in Boyle, Alberta. Oscar loved the game of baseball, enjoyed curling, bowling, hockey, golf and dancing. He had a career in truck driving. Oscar was predeceased by his grandson Keyvan, Tracy’s beloved son. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife Laura of 24 years, brother Ivor (Ione) and family of Grand Prairie, AB; his children Tracy McGague, Randy (Helen) A.J. (Susan), Bobbie-Jean (Lee), step daughters Lynda Boris & Rose-Marie (Glen) Britton; grandchildren Tristen (Bill), Savannah, Devon, Madison, Niall, Erin, Ryan, Curtis (Maeve) Jaxon; great grandchildren Emily, Ryder, Hayden, Dillon & Mason. He also left to mourn his passing Bob and Jean Carr, special friends of 45 years and dear friend & neighbor of 24 years Doreen Glencross. He will be greatly missed by so many dear friends (too many to mention but thank you to each and every one of you for your friendship). Thanks to the staff of the palliative care unit at NRGH for the wonderful care and compassion at this most difficult time.

A celebration of Oscar’s life will be at the Cavallotti Lodge on October 2, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 3-ish.
