Eccleston Nathaniel Charles
We are sad to announce the passing of Nathaniel (Nat) on Friday Evening Sept. 5, 2014, Nat was born in Victoria B.C. on November 3rd 1924. Where Nat attended school until he enlisted in the Air force, and was needed by his parents on the farm in Pleasant Valley where he ran a very substantial turkey farming operation for years. After meeting and marrying his wife Shirley they had two children, Natalie and Godfrey.
Nathaniel was also a Boy Scout leader for many years, around his 40th birthday he decided to return to university in Vancouver where he received his teaching degree. He taught English and Mathematics at Woodlands for the next 25 years, until his retirement. He lived out his life on the homestead raising a few cows and cutting hay for the next 24 years.
He was predeceased by his son Godfrey and grandson Adrian. He will be sadly missed by his wife Shirley, daughter Natalie, grandsons Darren, Danny (Tiffany), Kyle and Trevor (Erin) and many great grandchildren, and his longtime friends.
Funeral Services to be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, #1 Newcastle Ave. Nanaimo at 1p.m. on Thursday September 18, 2014.
Padre of the Legion will be officiating.
