Muriel Evelyn Bloomquist is at peace after passing away on September 25, 2016.
She was born on October 28, 1919 in Outlook Saskatchewan to William Wallace Stewart and Mary Champ Stewart. Evelyn grew up in Courtenay and moved to Wellington after marrying on September 25, 1948. She loved her family and was thankful for good friends and neighbours. For many years she loved to cook, tend to her garden and travel.
Predeceased by husband Charles she is survived by daughter Karen (Wayne) granddaughters Jennifer (Darren) Andrea (Chris) great grandchildren Sarah and Ethan.
Thank you to friends and family for your support also to everyone at Lakeside Gardens, her home for many years. Thank you Dr. Collin Walker at Family Practice the nurses in palliative and everyone else at NRGH who cared for Mum.
An open house in memory of Evelyn will be held November 26, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:30 at First Memorial at 1720 Bowen Road.
