Harvey, Molly (Kvittem)
Molly passed away peacefully at the Lodge on 4th (4 All Seasons) in Ladysmith on March 16th, shortly before her 98th birthday.
She shared her gift of music with many, teaching piano, playing on TV – Kiddies on Kamera, and traveling around Alberta with Search for Talent. After settling in Nanaimo, she played piano at many restaurants, including the Grotto, always remembering everyone’s favourite tune. She also entertained at 4 All Seasons Lodge weekly and many other seniors and community events.
“Nanny”, as she was known to her extensive family, was much loved and cherished and will be remembered for her kindness and positive attitude.
A Celebration of her life will be held at St. Philips Anglican Church, 1797 Cedar Road, where she has been a member for 40 years; at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. The Reverends Lon Towstego and Sheila Flynn will be officiating. Refreshments in the hall will follow the service.
A Special thank you to all of the staff and residents at the Lodge on 4th and La Rosa Gardens, who made Mom’s last years brighter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Society, 1729 Boundary Avenue, Nanaimo, BC.
