Pejkovic, Miro
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Miro Pejkovic, who was born in Svinisce, Croatia October 28, 1932, emigrated to Canada in 1968 and passed away from complications due to diabetes at the age of 80, on May 1, 2013 in Split, Croatia. Miro cultivated his masonry business in Ontario then became a long time resident of Nanaimo, BC where his work was a part of many large developments all over Vancouver Island.
Miro leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Mira; his children: Monika Keith (Ray), Tony, Tom (Darlene), and Ivica (Mirjana); and beloved grandchildren: Marko, Justin and Marisa Keith, Adrian, Anita, Tasia, Tommy and Marko Pejkovic. Miro is survived by his brothers, Jozo and Ante, and their families; and sisters, Slavka and Marija, and their families; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Nikola Sertic and family in Croatia; and Ivan Sertic and family in Ontario; and many cousins.
Full Catholic funeral services were held on May 7, 2013 in Miro’s home town of Svinisce at the Gospa na Brusu church officiated by Fra Don Marko Marasovic.
