DICK, Michael Patrick
October 6, 1934 – August 14, 2013
Michael passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on August 14th.
He is survived by his spouse of 55 years, Marie; and his daughter, Sandy Hutchinson. Michael is also survived by his grandchildren, Marie (Owen) Browett and Rick Curiston.
Michael was an LPN at NRGH for 35 years. He had a great love for people and loved working with fellow staff and patients alike. Michael also enjoyed designing and creating jewellery, working first for Manfred Mayer Jewellers and then for Bastion Jewellers. He also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, and canoeing.
The family would like to thank the staff at NRGH for their compassionate care, particularly the 1st and 6th Floors, as well as the Palliative Care Unit.
There will be a celebration of Michael’s life on August 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Tsow-Tun Le Lum Society, 699 Capilano Road, Lantzville, BC.
