Nemzeti dal (The National Poem)

Talpra magyar, hi a haza! Itt az ido, most vagy soha! Rabok legyunk vagy szabadok? Ez a kerdes, valasszatok! - A magyarok istenere Eskuszunk, Eskuszunk, hogy rabok tovabb Nem leszunk!

It's with a heavy heart and sadness that we share that Michael (Mihaly/Mike) Kincses passed away early Wednesday morning June 20th 2018 peacefully at his home with his family after a long battle with cancer.

Mike, born in Hungary in 1945 was 73 years old; he is survived by his wife Doris, his daughter Tamara (Michael), son Michael, grandchildren (Tamara) Montana, Jackson, Alliah, brother Frank (Marjorie), sister Liz, sister in law Fay and Penny, along with nieces and nephews.

Mike and his family escaped Hungary during the revolution of 1956 at age 12 and spent the next 1 1/2 years in Ireland before making their way to Canada in 1958, moving to the Vancouver Island in 1961. He married the love of his life Doris in 1967 in Carson City Nevada. He was involved in politics (79-85), travelled BC and enjoyed the simple things such as fishing, camping, photography and being with his family- especially his grandkids.

A revolutionary his whole life, a loving husband, father and papa; he rests now with his father, mother and brother, forever looking over us. He was loved endlessly.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the cancer society to honour his memory.
