January 22, 1942 - March 8, 2004
It is with great sorrow that the family of Mike announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather following a courageous battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his father Gus. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Sue, daughter Melinda (Alan), son Michael (Crysta), two granddaughters; Sydney and Jenna, his mother Ruth, brothers Jim and Ken (Jacquie)sister Marnie (John) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Dr. Keith Phillips and the pallative care nurses at NRGH. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the BC Cancer Society. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13th, at 2:00pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC.
