SABEY, Melvin Bennett
Passed away peacefully on November 14, 2005 at Berwick on the Lake. Melvin was born January 16, 1913 in Burley, Idaho. He is predeceased by wife Elnora in September 1999. He is survived by his children; Melva Rae Malcolm (Robert), Alan Sabey (Barbara) and Valerie Mason (Bryan). Papa to granddaughters Krista, Lynn, Julie, Shannon and Marie and great grandpapa to Haley and Tara. A Funeral Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo at 12 noon, Friday, November 18, 2005. Interment to follow at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens where Melvin will be laid to rest next to his wife of 68 years, Elnora. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Berwick on the Lake for the excellent care and compassionate attention Dad received while a resident at Berwick. Also, thank you to Drs. D. Wilson, M. Oxley and P. Vreede. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melvin may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
