June 9, 1931 - October 30, 2018
Following a brief illness Mary passed away in Victoria General Hospital on October 30, 2018. She was 87 years old. Mary studied Food Science at Breschia College in London, Ontario and was a dietician who ran food services in several hospitals across Canada. She married Robert Crandall and became the much-loved stepmother to Judith, Barbara, Kathleen, Edward (Ted), Bob and Bill. She was a devoted grandmother to Andrew, Kate, Holly, Robby, Chloe, Faye Anne, Alexandria and Joshua. Also, in the last year and half Mary had her first Great Grandchild, Sarah. Mary was the beloved sister of Bill, Buck, Ben, Paul, Carol and Jane. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mary was active in both the Sooke and Nanaimo Hospice Associations and in the Catholic Church Women at Trinity Catholic Church. She will be missed by all who knew her warm smile and loving heart.
There will be a memorial service in early December.
