Mary Louise (Lou) Armstrong
September 1, 1932 - October 12, 2011
Lou passed away peacefully on October 12th with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario and moved to BC with her husband, Bob and young children in 1962. There she enjoyed thirty years of teaching kindergarten and was happiest when spending time with her family.
Survived by her husband, Robert Armstrong; and three children: Gary (Kathryn), Janne (Grant) and Wanda (Vince); brother, James Park and sister, Jeanne Armstrong; eight grandchildren: Patrick, Kathleen, Megan, Ben, Wayne, Heather, Jeff, Grant and four great grandchildren: Lucas, Isabelle, Molly and Eli.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial, 1720 Bowen Rd, Nanaimo, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of BC in memory of Lou’s courageous battle.
