Mary Florida Berthelette (Flo) passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at The Nanaimo Travellers Lodge at the age of 89.
Flo was born in Kenora, Ontario on April 28, 1921. She was the eldest of seven children.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, as well as her first husband Len Alcock in 1971, and her second husband Henry (Hank) Berthelette in 2001.
Flo is survived by 9 children Joyce St. Pierre, Courtenay, BC; Len Alcock, Nanaimo, BC; Ernest Alcock, Dryden, Ontario; Donald Alcock, Kenora, Ontario; Shelley Randle (Albert), Powell River, BC; Rosanne Baker (Ken), Nanaimo, BC; Wilfred Alcock, Horsefly Lake, BC; Robin Alcock (Amanda), Calgary, Alberta; and Peter Alcock, Carmen, Manitoba; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Flo also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters Ernest Murray, Fredericton, New Brunswick; Bill Murray (Evelyn), Campbell River, BC; Rose Hall, Kenora, Ontario; Rosanna Burrell (Glen), Kamloops, BC; Stella Hill (Jim), Newcastle, Ontario, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
