Easthom, Mary Elizabeth
February 27, 1918 - August 2, 2005
Mary passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at NRGH. Predeceased by her bothers Reggie and Terry Kean, a sister, Margaret Easthom, a nephew, Blake Kean and a niece Barbara Clarkson. She is survived by Earl, her loving husband of 68 years, daughter Sheila Bradley, son Richard (Donna) Easthom; grandchildren Kelly Bradley, Rick (Louise) Easthom, Brian Easthom, Glenda Easthom; great-grandchildren Graem, Stacey, Ryan, Scott, Brent, Jack, Rachel, and Andrea. Mary will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Mary was born in Pender Harbour and moved to Gabriola when she was sixteen. She soon met and married her sweetheart Earl and together they farmed, fished, hunted, gardened, and raised their family. Mom was an exceptional cook, from our meals at home to her work at Anderson’s Lodge, for the B.C. Hydro crews, head Chef at the CPR and her "Golden" years at the B&K. Mom was a strong, wonderful woman who believed in working from sunup to sundown. We will shed many tears, each one a precious memory.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Mission (Log Church), Silva Bay, Gabriola Island at 1:00 PM Monday, August 8th, Father Darek Zarebski as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gabriola Cemetery, with a gathering of friends and family at Silva Bay Resort from 2-5 PM.
