May 16, 1931 - February 5, 2019
Our Angel has gone to Heaven, Feb 5th, 2019 at 87 years of age in the Nanaimo General Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Mary is predeceased by her parents Arthur & Annie Day and her beloved husband Bill.
She leaves behind her six children (and spouses): Brenda (Ted), Grant (Sabrina), Dana (Bruce), Susan (Bill), Scott (Suzanne),and Brad; her 13 grandchildren: Kenny (Jessica), William, Olivia, Owen, Oceana, Laura, Rebecca, Christi (Mattie), Sara, Kate, Justin, Hanna, Kevin and 2 great grandchildren Araya & Aubrey; as well as her 4 sisters: Jean (Merv), Kay, Phyllis (David), Bev (Fred) and their families.
Mary was beautiful, friendly, kind, caring, non-judgemental, funny, hardworking, a good listener, thoughtful, generous, humble, compassionate with faith in the Lord.
The family is truly grateful for all the doctors and nurses who gave such wonderful care to her during the last few days of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo General Hospital.
We are celebrating her life at 11 am on Friday Feb 15, 2019 at St. Andrews United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam Street in Nanaimo.
