Mark Hastings

It is with great sadness that the Hastings family announces the death of Mark Hastings. Mark was born November 8, 1956 and spent his childhood years in Dundas, Ontario. He passed on August 11, 2022, after a six year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
He was survived by Debbie, his wife of 41 years, and his three sons: Dustin, Blaine and Robert Hastings and their families.
While living in both Alberta and British Columbia, Mark worked in home-building, transportation and with seniors and people living with disabilities.
Mark loved music, travel and a sunny day at the ocean with the dog, but mostly he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. They were his treasure.
A memorial will be held Oct. 22, 2022 at 11:00 at First Baptist Church, 1650 Waddington Road.
Thanks to the medical professionals in VRGH and VGH and to Mark's sister in law Rhonda for all your support. Special thanks to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), support group, friends and family who journeyed with us through this disease and offered hope and encouragement.
