Marjorie "Ruth" Kilpatrick (nee Nielsen)

Marjorie "Ruth" Kilpatrick (nee Nielsen) of Nanaimo BC, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, January the 14th, 2020. Ruth was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, stepmother, aunt, and friend.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents, Bert and Margery Nielsen, her devoted husband Phil
Kilpatrick, and then companion Jack Martens.
Ruth is survived by her loving family; Brothers Jim Nielsen (Sandy), John Nielsen (Lyn), Sisters Barb Walter, Margie Waine; first husband Al Holownia and their 3 children Rob Holownia (Jenn), Sharon Gauld (Allan & grandchildren Ella & Alex), Michael Holownia; stepchildren from her late 2nd husband Phil Kilpatrick; Frank Kilpatrick (Mary & grandchildren Colton, Kaeliegh, Gage, & Sydney), Thea Kilpatrick (Maria).
Ruth's faith was extremely important to her, she thoroughly enjoyed singing in her church, or listening to hymns at home, and sharing her faith. Ruth also loved all her pets and island life. She found great comfort hiking and exploring with Abby, her dog, in all places they lived. Ruth always had a special place in her heart for animals, and so she contributed regularly to the SPCA.
While we are experiencing the greatest sorrow, and our "Ruthie" will be sadly missed, we take great comfort in knowing she has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour.
A memorial service of Ruth's life will be held where we will take the opportunity to celebrate this extraordinary lady on February 27th at 1 pm at;
