Kemp, Marjorie Doreen
a longtime Nanaimo resident, passed away suddenly on Janary 26, 2005 at the age of 83. Born on March 29, 1921 in Sunderland, England, Marjorie was a war bride who came to Nanaimo in 1946. She was married to John Kemp for 54 years until his passing in 2000. Marjorie was a member of the 1st Canadian Airborne Association as well as the Nanaimo Fish and Game Club. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughters Valerie and Barbara (Glenn), son Alan (Janet), grandsons Jeffrey and Kevin, as well as her 5 nephews and their families. She will also be missed by many long term and new friends. Marjorie was a very active resident at Berwick on The Lake, and a Memorial Tea will be held there (3201 Ross Road) on Thursday, February 3 from 2:30 to 3:30 to celebrate Marjorie’s life. If desired, donations to Branch #10, Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
