Peggy was born in Victoria and moved to Nanaimo as a teenager. She joined CGIT @ St. Andrews United and remained with this group of “Girls” for more than 60 yrs. Peggy is predeceased by her first husband Joe and oldest son Kenneth and her second husband Robert Gole, as well as her brothers Ted, Glynn and Marjorie. She is survived by her sister Megan, son Eric, daughter Marion, three grand children Tim, Sally, Katie, and three great grand children Huxley, Jordan and Sadie.
Peggy volunteered for over 30 years with the Upper Island Music Festival, worked for Jean Burns Store and Central Drug Store. Mum had a great sense of humour, dependability and graciousness. There were many happy memories at Rathtrevor Beach in the 1950’s and 60’s including all the families and friends. Mum was a long time resident at Nanaimo Seniors Village and was well liked and cared for by the staff.
There will be no service.
She will be missed.
