Marilyn Dale Brown born May 18, 1948. Marilyn lost her courageous battle with cancer on Saturday December 27, 2008. She is predeceased by her father Stephan (Steve) Norman December 1999, 2 siblings (Stephanie and Dixie). She is survived and sadly missed by her mother, Token Norman, 2 daughters: Teresa Brown (grandchildren Cailey Holman, Jayden Holman & Trinity Vink) and Wendy (Justin) Heathcote (grandchildren Joel & Dawson), Sisters: Darlene (Don) Kerr, Betty Ann Norman Brothers: Christopher (Margaret) Norman and Richared (Corinne) Norman and many nieces & nephews.

In 1970 she married Patrick Brown. They had 2 daughters Teresa and Wendy. Special friends: De Dayley (children Crystal, Trisha & Cathy) and Peter Einarsen.

Marilyn was born at the Foam Lake hospital, Saskatchewan. She was raised on a farm and attended the Osland School & F.L.C. High School. She worked as a Dental Assistant in Yorkton, Sk. before she moved to Vancouver Island where she made Nanaimo B.C. her life long home. She enjoyed being a homemaker, working with Millway Plumbing and at the Millway corner store. Later she worked in a nursing home doing long term care then at the Nanaimo hospital in housekeeping. Her last few years she had her own housecleaning service. She was a strong woman that touched many lives over the years and lived life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. At her request no funeral service will be held. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be at in the Kin Hut, Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 12 noon.

The family wish to thank all dedicated staff at the Palliative Care Unit, Hospice Society and Doctors for their professional loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
