Leckie, Marie S.F.C.C.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 13, 1933. Passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on December 27th, 2005. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Francis, George and Eric. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Lorraine (Alan) Lawrence, Eric (Linda) Leckie, Jane (Ian) Atkinson all in Scotland, Louise Leckie in England, sister-in-law Stella Leckie of Wyoming, niece Connie (Gary) Solheim of Virginia Beach, Michael of Texas, Terry (Lucinda), Patrick and Paul Leckie all of Wyoming. Marie brought her gift of good humour and her Scottish country music brought much joy to many. Marie's life was dedicated to God and to the service of others for many years. In 1983 she joined Sisters for Christian Community. Along with Sister Marjorie Kuntz, they shared their life together for the past 23 years. the Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 2:00pm. at Bethlehem Retreat Centre 2371 Arbot Road, Nanaimo, BC with Father John Green, O.M.I. as Celebrant. A special thanks to the Benedictine Sisters and all our friends who have given so generously of their time and energy during this difficult time.
