Marie-Louise Garenkooper (nee deVere) passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, B.C. on September 23, 2020. Marie-Louise was born in New York City, New York on August 13, 1927.
Beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Gina Garenkooper, Peter Theodore (Linda) and Andre Theodore. Cherished Nana of Deryk, Craig and Michelle. Dear sister of Sylvester and the late Louie.
Marie-Louise was devout to her faith throughout her life time.
"M.L." was retired after a career as a Social Worker.
She is remembered warmly for her many years of volunteering at Tsow-Tun Le Lum Society "Helping House".
