Born in Vancouver, BC September 17, 1926; died peacefully August 9, 2013 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband, Bill; daughter, Lorraine; brother, Randy; sister, Leonore (Babs); and by two grandsons, Bruce Balatti and Christopher Addison. Survived by her sister, Jacqueline Webster; brother, Jack (Margaret) Wiren; sister-in-law, Ruth Wiren; her children: Phyllis (Wayne) Morgan, John (Noelle), Ken, and Grace; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She was an incredible and amazing lady. She was a Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Great Grandma, sister, cousin, and friend to many.

Peggy spent her childhood in Seaside & the Sechelt Peninsula. She went to St Anne's Convent in New Westminster with her sister, Babs, for her high school years. She worked at the Port Mellon Mill as a pulp tester, where she met Bill deBoeck in 1946. They married in 1947 and moved to the Alberni Valley, where they had their first two children, Lorraine and Phyllis. They then moved to Cedar, John was born, then they moved to Departure Bay and Ken and Grace were born, and they continued to live there for thirty years. Mom was an amazing gardener and loved the outdoors, especially beaches. She had many various interests outside the home but her first and foremost priority was looking after her family. We enjoyed many camping trips; including across Canada twice, and all over BC, Alberta, and the Pacific Northwest. Mom was always up for an adventure. When retired she and Bill enjoyed traveling to Arizona and all over the southwest states & Mexico as well as BC, especially Vancouver Island with friends and family.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo.
