In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Margaret Lucille Winters (nee: Henderson)
Margaret passed away at the age of 95 with her family at her side. Margaret leaves behind her four children, Shiree, Ken (Ruth), Wayne (Rhonda), and Todd (Gerry).
She is also lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
Margaret was big on family and prided herself in being our family matriarch.
She was a very vibrant woman with a zeal for life and she was always eager to try new things. Her main interests were singing and dancing. At a young age she took up ballet and tap dance. She was also an avid skier having been born in Revelstoke BC where there were many ski slopes.
Later on in life she was involved with the Sweet Adelines, the Bowen Park Songsters, the Weekenders Club and the Bastion City Cloggers.
She loved to entertain others and wasn't shy to do a song or a skit. She was quite the character and loved to make people laugh. Sweet Adelines loved her 'little ole lady' skits.
Mom was a very spiritual woman and was involved in Eckankar for many years.
She was adventurous and loved to travel whether she was accompanied or did it alone.
Mom was a sensitive, kind and caring person who loved giving gifts to others. For a time she volunteered at the hospital serving the patients there.
Mom loved her family, we were very important to her. She imparted strong moral values to us that have continued to serve us well.
She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents Ernie and Vella Henderson and our father Jim Williams.
We would like to thank all the staff at Dufferin Place for the loving care they gave our mother over these many years. As a result she was happy there and loved you all.
