Marcel PERCEVAULT

November 5, 2006

PERCEVAULT

Surrounded by family Marcel Percevault passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5th, 2006 at the age of 88. Marcel was born in Cowley, Alberta and moved to Vancouver Island as a young man to work in the logging industry. He was known as ‘Blackie’ by many of his friends and as ‘Pops’ by the extended family. Marcel was an amazing man who taught us, through his own behavior, a great sense of humour, a willingness to give other the benefit of the doubt, and right from wrong. He constantly looked for the joy in the simple things and strongly valued the love and strength of family. Even in death we continue to learn from his wishes. Marcel will live on in our hearts and as time passes, when our smiles return, we will know he is near.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

Marcel was predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Beckensell), his son Brian, and all his siblings: Frank Jr. (Jenny), Edward (Dora), Rosalie (Harold), Mary (Mel), Gerard, and Johnny.

Survived by his loving wife Georgia, sons Bruce (Pam), Lyle (Liz), daughters Margot (Jaime), Gloria (Jim), daughter-in-law Linda (Terry), sister-in-law Isabelle (Johnny), grandchildren Michelle (Randy), Darren (Lorina), Craig (Eleana), Kent (Signe), Cory (Sarah), Rhonda (Wade), Roy, Carlos (Jenn), Maria, Geoffrey, Benjamin, Kate and his 10 great grandchildren.
