In loving memory ~
On November 18th, at the age of 91, heaven gained another angel when God decided it was time to call home his faithful servant, Marcel Joseph Cloutier. He was born on August 8, 1930 in Quebec City, predeceased by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. He has been described as a gentleman, his spirit was kind and his love was felt by all that knew him, our world went a bit dimmer that day.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing but celebrate his life, his beautiful wife of 68 years, Jacqueline Cloutier, his daughter Linda, two grandsons, Ryan (Amanda) and Christopher (Trista), 5 great grandchildren and a 6th due to arrive in April 2022, numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad served 35 years with the Canadian Navy, 3 days after his marriage he was called to serve in the Korean War on the HMCS Haida, which turned out to be his favorite ship, and he was on many. He was also an avid sports person, there was always one television in the house that was turned to a sports channel, if he was not watching sports he was playing sports, to refereeing hockey and lacrosse games, to running 26 miles every day, weather did not matter to him, he was continually training for the next marathon. He ran the Boston Marathon twice along with numerous others, put it this way if there was a marathon to be raced you would find him there, hanging up his runners at the age of 70.
We know that you walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear
